Having dogs is not a mandatory for each individual in any part of the world. It is sometimes a necessity, business, a hobby or status symbol for some popular icons. But those things are not sometimes considered as important for having dogs as long as we understand that as owners, we played spectacular roles and responsibilities of taking care of them. Like humans, dogs have also their way of communications. It is their most common way to make us feel they are part of our everyday lives and that they play also an important role for us. That's why dogs are considered as "man best friend". If we can shout, sing, recite and mimic sounds, they can also do those things. Though no words came out of their mouth by means of barking, we are sure they have something to tell us.

We can describe dogs as "barking machines" because no matter how we tried to stop them, they still keep on barking. It's a fact of life that dogs will bark. They bark for a purpose and other barking has something to do with their behavioral problem. Barking appears to be the cause of dog's loneliness because they are housed outside and left alone for some periods of time. In this case, train dogs to be alone while on their younger age. Leave them some toys to improve their playing habit and separation anxiety. Some dogs barked to protect their territories. Letter carriers, neighbors, passersby, visitors, intruders or people they seldom saw are some of the moving creatures they used to bark You can introduce them to the people who come to your home or make some short conversation with the visitors with the dog present for you to minimize his barking habit. In some instance, dogs bark accompanied by body language or tail-wagging is an invitation to play. If the invitation is answered and the play begins, the dog stops barking. A dog will also bark to warn other dogs or people of danger and sometimes pain and illness may also triggers barking. It can only be stop when they can be taken out of the danger or a trip to veterinarian may be in order.

Biting and chewing can also be counted as dog's way of communicating to their owners. Scolding your dog after it has misbehaved can strengthen its mood of anger that may lead to biting anyone. It maybe an intruder, a toy, furniture, other dogs or even a member of the family just to ease the way they are feeling for that moment. Boredom may also lead to chewing for some dogs. They loved spending time with them playing and taking them some walk will make their energy less for chewing. Leaving them water to drink and chew toys can also help.

Digging for some dogs longed for companionship, regardless of the heritage of their breed. For Nordic dogs, they dig holes in order to cool themselves making their sleeping and playing more comfortable. The heritage of terriers has been to dig from the ground for the rodents and small game also. They have a strong sense of smelling yielding them to catch for something they want to discover caused by the smell. Some dogs like Dachshunds chase badgers out of their holes to escape boredom and loneliness. In this aspect, all members of the family must work together as a team to train dogs and eventually relate what they actually need.

Be attentive and observant to your dogs behavior, these are their ways of communicating to you. Making you understand that like you, they also want to be treated as humans. Cooperation of the family members and effective ways of verbal commands can help stimulate dogs-human relationship.
